The new tenant is doing everything right. The food is very good and the choice is large.

Food very good and a view of the lake. Unfortunately there are many guests there who DO NOT adhere to the corona rules and do not register. The operator should ensure that 100%. With the prices that are called there, someone has to stand at the entrance and make sure of that. Therefore 3 star deduction

Location is great, but the food is only so-so. Pork knuckle was not crispy and the dumplings tasted like they were out of the packet. In terms of price, it was really not cheap for what you get. I was particularly disappointed with the ice cream parlor. Stay away from it.

Very nicely located beer garden with a view of the lake. I've been coming back for a few years now and in the last season the beer garden was apparently renovated and made a little more modern. The prices are okay and the food is good too - especially the fish on a stick, which is always freshly prepared, is a nice specialty, as is the delicious potato salad and coleslaw. This year, the Corona hygiene concept has been added and here we expressly praise the fact that when registering, the nice lady also points out the rules to mask-grumpy guests and the tables are wiped after use (should be of course, but also in other restaurants during these times not always seen ...). The only bad solution is that there is only one cash register and everything is jammed and people are queuing for drinks as well as food from two sides - a second cash register should be available here to avoid queues and to keep the distances easier.

One of the most beautiful beer gardens, right on the lake. A good selection of food for a beer garden, but self-service. I particularly liked the fish stand, with fish rolls made from pike from Lake Starnberg. I like and will be back!

We are soooo disappointed !!! A grandiose, traditional, genuine Bavarian beer garden has become an average, impersonal, callous, overpriced garden on the beautiful Lake Starnberg ... which only lives from its name and its past (... and of course its location) The former operators must be miserable how you can ruin such a piece of jewelry ...

Very expensive, new owner. The sausage salad is 10 euros. Twice as before. What a cheek! Never again! And it doesn't taste that good either!

I am at Lake Starnberg every couple of years and I was really looking forward to the usual visit to the beer garden. However, this time I was disappointed. Despite the moderate occupancy of the tables and little rush at the food counter, it took a long time. The man behind the counter was dawdling a lot. The tablets were in the wrong place and would have been better placed with the cutlery so that you don't have to leave the line. The selection is typically Bavarian and okay for meat eaters. However, the Vienna sausages are as small as white sausages and therefore too little for a portion. Vegetarians can only eat side dishes and the dumplings with sauce looked like it wasn't homemade. At least a larger salad plate would have been good for Veggis. I felt the portions were too small. Only the great view shouldn't be a criterion. I hope for changes until my next visit.

The beer garden is in a great location, right on the lake, with a selection of appetizingly prepared foods on display. With us, the order process in the self-service area was quick and very friendly. The beer was cold and tasty. The fish on a stick was of very good quality, unfortunately with a seasoned salt. We will actively cancel that next time. A successful experience!

We really liked the beer garden. The staff were very friendly. We liked the food very much. We look forward to the next visit.

As a group, we really enjoyed sitting in the shade and wind close to the lake. A beautiful place, still beautiful with a cool light.

Nice Biergarten right on the side of the lake. Enjoyed a cold Agustiner beer ? with a marvelous view.

As someone who lives here,it's a really nice place to come and relax and have a great meal and beer at a good price. There's lots of space and the usual nice view. The staff are pleasant and helpful, food is well cooked and prepared and usually there's lots of space. Typically though, in summer, the crowds come in and it packs out, so get your table early. I'd give five stars if they'd ban smoking, though it's outside, many smokers are inconsiderate of those around them and you and up with their disgusting habit in your face when trying to enjoy your meal, nothing like an obnoxious cigar blowing in your face while eating.

The beer garden is wonderfully situated and the panorama is just beautiful. The beer is very good, the food is ok, the prices for this location are good value. I feel very comfortable there, the new landlord does his job well.

We came and entry was only possible with reservation. They wouldnt let us in even the 80 percent of the tables were free. Not suited for spontaneous visits if it is by reservation only.

You were somehow out of luck today. When eating a lady who had so much to do at the same time that the snake was getting longer and longer. When it came to beer, the barrel was empty and the young temporary worker had to let his colleague start a new one. But the colleague had to take care of the broken till first ... But apart from that, it is a wonderful beer garden, with a breathtaking view and incredibly cheap prices. Top recommendation

For me there is the best pork knuckle. Juicy, crispy, super flavorful. One of the most beautiful beer gardens I know. Very professionally run, nice staff good food and the prices are still ok. I miss even more offers for children on the menu. There is nothing under half a liter - too bad.

Nice beergarden right by the lake. On Sundays there's a live brass band playing the typical Bavarian music. Staff is not super friendly, but quite efficient. Self service only, prices are ok, 7.10 Euro for the"Mass", but 3.10 for a large Brezel...

Great beer, amazing lake side location.. tons of shady trees for a great outdoors... parking for your car can be a problem.. food...? I have eaten better...

Amazing people and service

Super nice location, directly at the water. Plenty of sun (although the trees will give a lot of shadow in summer). Selection of food and drinks is okay, just biertgarten style, nothing fancy. Staff was friendly, prices decent.
